The McRae-Helena Police Department consists of 11 sworn positions and one civilian position. The department is responsible for police administration, investigation, traffic control and patrol and municipal court. The Police Department is also certified to operate the Georgia Crime Information Center terminal.

How do I obtain a copy of my accident/incident report?
Call the McRae-Helena Police Department at 229-868-2093 to make sure that the report has been completed and approved. Once it is completed and approved, you may pick up your copy at the police department at 181 East Oak Street. There is a $5 charge for either type of report. You can also visit www.buycrash.com to purchase and print your report. This option costs $11 but you will be able to access it from anywhere.
My neighbor’s dog is running loose. What can I do?
If you are having trouble with an animal at large, you can either call 911 or come to the police department and fill out a formal complaint about your problem. At that time an officer will attempt to locate the owner of the animal and advise them of the problem or issue a citation.
Can I pay my citation before court? How or where can I make this payment?
Yes, you can pay your citation before court and there are a couple of ways to do so. You can come by the police department, send your payment in the mail, or pay online. We do not accept personal checks. You can make the payment at the police department with cash, money order, or Visa, Master Card, American Express, or Discover Card.
